We do everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment and in the communities we work in. Our aim is true sustainability and we are working to define measurement criteria to benchmark our progress. We consider RSS to be a low impact company but we cannot be complacent about our activity.

We use low impact products across our sites and many chemicals are biodegradable. Our small equipment and cleaning machinery has been sourced so that it can be recycled or reused. We minimise water use through filtration systems and buffered chemicals that work with less water added to them. Where practical we use cloth and microfiber materials that are laundered to reduce energy use.

Where we work on client premises we actively promote and in some cases manage the recycling scheme in place. We are also able to advise on sustainability schemes and would welcome your enquiry. Our staff training programme has a module dedicated to environmental protection and our staff are reminded through newsletters of how we are performing against our green criteria.

Each year we plant trees to help mitigate our CO2 footprint. The trees are planted at local community initiatives and local schools where a planting programme will enhance the surroundings. We search for partners who will join us in our efforts and every supplier to RSS must make a commitment, either financial or physical, to assist.

We will agree with you a small contribution each month – which we will match so that we can all make a positive achievement in our communities. When you come on board we will ask you to nominate a local group who would benefit from the initiative and we will work with you to make it happen.
